Changes:
In response to the feedback from the public hearing the OIO UDDI Profile has been updated:
- The title has been changed to OIOSMI (Service Metadata Interface) from OIOUDDI, to ensure semantic interoperability with the work being done in the PEPPOL project
- The examples has been updated to correct minor errors so they now are completely in compliance with the profile
About:
This document describes the OIO Service Metadata Interface (OIOSMI) which is a profile of OASIS UDDI version 3.0. It represents an operational step towards providing a service-oriented architecture. OIO UDDI is one of several reference models, which will be prepared by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MTVU) in collaboration with the public sector and the IT industry. The models have been designed to:
- Ensure a uniform realization of the principles in OIO’s White Paper on Enterprise Architecture covering interoperability, security, transparency, flexibility and scalability through use of standards for web services.
- Make it easier for vendors to develop web services that work well in practice across public organisations/offices and IT platforms.
OIO UDDI is one of several profiles, which can be used as building blocks for Web Services with well defined properties. The UDDI profile is however independent of the other profiles.
