Codes to be used for approvals of Notification to 829 from 2000 onwards.
There andvendes six digits in the format AB-CDEF.
AB: (01, 02 ..) Identifies manufacturers. The numbers are given chronologically by date of first application.
C: Location
1 = Subsoil;
2 = Above ground in general;
3 = Above ground vertical cylinder;
4 = Home tank without manhole, subsoil;
5 = Home tank without manhole, above ground.
D: Design
0 = Cylindrical steel tank, possibly w. inner stiffening ring;
1 = Cylindrical steel tank with internal bulkheads;
2 = cylindrical steel tank with external stiffening rings;
3 = oval steel tank;
4 = box-shaped steel tank;
5 = Double wall cylindrical steel tank;
6 = Double wall tank of a different design;
7 = Tank of nylon;
8 = Tank polyethylene;
9 = Tank of GUP.
E: External corrosion protection.
0 = GUP;
1 = Indoor installation;
2 = Outdoor installation.
F: Internal corrosion protection.
0 = Untreated;
1 = Epoxy;
2 = GUP;
3 = sacrificial anodes;
4 = Inorganic zinc dust paints;
5 = Metal Spraying with zinc;
6 = Crankcase with coating.

1 = Steel tank: treated according to Annex III;
2 = Steel tank: treatment under Annex IV;
3 = Steel tank: protected magnesium anodes.
4 = Steel tanks: protection with inorganic zinc dust paints;
5 = Steel tank: protected with metal spraying with zinc;
9 = Other tank, untreated interior.
